Course Curriculum – 500-HR Advanced Teacher Training

Introduction

The study of Yoga is vast and endless. 500 hours of study is designed for teachers who want to grow their career path with a designation higher than the industry requirement of 200 hours. Advanced study increases your confidence as a teacher and removes self- doubts. This training builds on your 200-hour foundational training and opens the doors to specialized areas of interest that will give you a deeper set of technical skills and enhance your connection to the roots of Yoga.

Your current 200-hour training plus 300 hours of additional training will certify you as a 500-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher.

Requirements

Students must have a 200-hour yoga teaching certificate from a Yoga Alliance approved school. It’s not necessary to be a graduate of the Shanti Hot Yoga 200- hour teacher training to register for the 500-hour certification.

Structure of the Program

The 300 hours of training will be a combination of weekend teacher trainings and workshops. Participants will choose from a core group of courses that are mandatory, and a selection of courses that provides freedom to choose specific areas of deeper study and interest. You can complete the 300 hours of training in a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 4 years.
